These guarantees
should come as standard if you want to be sure of achieving outstanding photography, but the real difference, you need to look for is the quality of the photography itself. The only way to
judge this is to view a selection of albums. While the photographs you
will find on websites and in brochures will give you initial feel for the quality you can expect, there is no substitute for viewing a selection of complete wedding albums. Most photographers
can provide a selection of good images from a variety of weddings but for real quality you need to see the photographs of a number of weddings from beginning to end. What you need to look for
is consistently good quality throughout the wedding day and not just a few good photographs amongst a lot of mediocre ones. Do you get a feel for the enjoyment of the bride and groom on that
day? You should do if the photographer is a skilful one.
I have been awarded the "Yorkshire Wedding Photographer of the Year" which is awarded by the recognised UK body, The Master Photographers
Association. The criteria for this award is focused on photographic skill, they also look for consistency of that skill. The judges look at complete wedding albums to assess this and their
remit is to go further and to look at album design, the quality of the printing, the layout, and the use of overlays, in other words the whole package. So when you are looking for quality you
really do need to see the photographer at their studio to view their wedding albums.
